The Lobby Room at Era Beach in Unawatuna definitely exceeded my expectations! It had all the modern amenities I needed, like free Wi-Fi and a satellite TV. The bathroom was luxurious, with a rain shower and hot/cold water facilities. It felt like a spa retreat! The room was tastefully designed with a contemporary feel, perfect for someone like me who appreciates modern comfort. I loved that it was connected to the open reception, giving it a unique and inviting atmosphere.
Personally, I found that the LED satellite television was a bit unnecessary. But I understand that others might enjoy having it in their room.

the breakfast was excellent, especially compared to other hotels I stayed in. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. the hotel has a boutique feel, with a small and intimate setting. the location is also great, close to Unawatuna and Galle. the highlight for me was the amazing pool and beach views, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. Era Beach exceeded my expectations and made my stay memorable. Cons: Nothing.

The Hotel is beautifully set up, nice pool and nice beach. Very good breakfast. Didn't try the dinner food. But the downside overvweigh the upsides unfortunately.
Hotel is noisy! Stayed at a seaview suite... you can hear the loud traffic of the street all night long since the hotel is a couple of metres next to the busy road. Not pleasant! Changed to Garden Suite the next night... further from the street, but dogs barking outside all! Night long. Couldn't sleep from 2am-6am. Checked out the next morning and moved to another hotel. Noise problem is a shame for such a nice hotel.

The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxed and romantic and the service is non-intrusive and efficient. Hotel rooms are beautiful and a very nice contrast between modern facilities and colonial/rustic architecture.

A platinum service and place to stay!
After trekking round Sri Lanka, we wanted our last 4 days to be special. We opted for three nights at Era Beach, a charming villa right in front of the cascading waves. The staff at Era Beach were impeccable, providing outstanding customer service. They made us feel like special guests, going above and beyond to take care of us. The room was absolutely stunning, with a four-poster bed and a luxurious bathroom. The food at Era Beach was the best we had throughout our entire trip, with the chef truly showcasing their talent. Era Beach provided an unforgettable experience and we can't wait to come back.

Staff and the design of the hotel. It has among the best outdoor pools in Sri Lanka.
The rooms are noisy, as it is right next to a very busy road. If you are bothered by noise, try to get the garden view rooms, if not, take a different hotel.

The value for money at Era Beach was excellent! The room was clean and spacious, with a breathtaking view. The location was perfect, close to attractions but still peaceful. The staff treated us like royalty, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The morning meal could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

It wasn't obvious to us before we arrived that this is a boutique hotel. They could make more of that in their adverts but it was a pleasant surprise! Staff very helpful and pleasant

Great hotel with amazing architecture. Excellent place to relax a few days. Close to Galle for visiting and shopping. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent. All in all - our expectations were greatly exceeded.
The outdoor-pool is actually a salt-water-pool - this should be mentioned in the hotel description. There was no Tea/coffee maker or minibar in our room.
